On Becoming Filipina in 10 months...

Islands=27 So now that I'm spending about 10 months in the Philippines, I'll be living the Manila life, reconnecting with my extended family and hopefully learning my Tagalog. I'll also be tallying how many times people ask me if I have a boyfriend and how times they tell me I'm fat. McFattie: 14 McSingle: 22

A Kubo Christmas

This year was the first time i spent the holidays in the Philippines since I was 5. Although I missed the usual tidings in the states, I was excited to be here. Another note about Christmas here. It begins in September. don't ask me why, but I'm sick enough of the carols and decorations by now. In any case, the celebrations at home began the Saturday before Christmas. We had a party at the kubo with all the cousins etc invited. Everyone got their presents early so we didn't do exchanges. My uncle rented a videoke machine and the kids very much enjoyed singing and dancing along. It was like a mini talent show. Due to the huge amounts of pictures that I have, I figured I'd save all you bloggers some sanity and post my choice "few". For my family members, and otherwise interested please check up my photo gallery here
