Islands=27 So now that I'm spending about 10 months in the Philippines, I'll be living the Manila life, reconnecting with my extended family and hopefully learning my Tagalog. I'll also be tallying how many times people ask me if I have a boyfriend and how times they tell me I'm fat. McFattie: 14 McSingle: 22

On Saturday, after staying up late with the Videoke crew, I woke up at 5:30am to take the bus down to Pagbilao. I had a half hour rest before we headed over to Lukang Beach. Kuya Edwin said to prepare for a long walk. It wasn't a long walk, it was a long hike up treacherous terrain. It was high tide, so we didn't have access to the nice beach walk. Instead we climbed up and down ditches and forded washed out trails. I was wearing my standard walking sandals, so it was slow going. It was well worth it however, and the beach was pretty nice.

Friday was videoke night at ABS-CBN. Tita Ruby invited me to hang out with her fam and friends. We had this private booth with plush little couches and a complicated videoke system. A good time was had by all, and thankfully I didn't get pressured to sing. There were many who were very excited to have extra time on the mic. Everyone got really drunk, and afterwards we all went to Zirco, a comedy club. It wasn't my thing so I went home early, but overall it was a great night.
